We believe that each child is a unique gift from God. We provide Christian experiences for our children in a loving, safe, and secure environment.

Our mission is to provide a quality education for our children, which includes the six domains of child development: physical, cognitive, language, social, emotional, and cultural. This will be accomplished by a dedicated, qualified staff working with the children, parents, and the community.

Colorado Shines is a non-profit that works to improve the quality of early childhood education in Colorado. In the Qualistar rating process, programs are evaluated on five different quality components, which include: Learning environment, Family Partnerships, Training and Education, Accreditation, and Adult-to-child ratios and Group size.

The children's safety and well-being is one of our main priorities. Our doors are locked and well secured. We offer small class sizes, which enables us to be aware of all children's locations and safety.

Our teachers and staff are highly dedicated, loving and experienced. They meet state licensing requirements. All staff is trained in CPR, first aid, and universal precautions, as well as continuing yearly training and education classes

Children participate in various age-appropriate activities using a thematic approach to learning and discovery. 

The younger children will feel secure to play and explore in a safe and fun environment. 

The older children will develop number concepts, reading readiness, and problem-solving skills through sorting, counting, puzzles, and other activities.

All children attend 20 minutes of chapel a day. We incorporate bible stories, memory verses, songs and prayers.

We are open 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday, from the end of August through May.

Classes run from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. 

A full day session is anytime over five hours a day. A half-day session is anytime under five hours a day. 

We are closed for: Spring break, Thanksgiving week, and Christmas Break. First Preschool & Pre-K follows the District 60 schedule (with minor differences in December and May) for school closings due to holidays and weather.
